During this time of “Social Distancing” how can you reassure your families that you’ll be able to provide the same level of support collaborating online as you would in person?
So how do you put this all together? Here is an example of what you might say to a family when explaining the value and reason why they should use the Planning Center:
“Our funeral home has many tools to help you through this difficult time. One we use is our online Planning Center.
This is a place where you can begin collecting some of the necessary information we’ll need to plan for your loved one’s service. The nice thing is you can do this from anywhere on any device.
There are also some helpful questions to get you thinking about how we can honor your loved one and make it a healing experience for you. If you get stuck or have questions along the way, there are resources and articles to help guide you. There is also a way to get in touch with me.”
Of course, this is just a guide. Feel free to modify, take out, or alter what you need to make this more comfortable and personal to you.
Tips for Online Planning During the COVID-19 Outbreak:
✔️Offer to have the arrangement meeting over the phone or through video conferencing. Microsoft Teams, Zoom, FaceTime, and Google Hangouts are a just a few of the video conferencing options available.
✔️Upload the contract and other documents the family needs to sign into the Planning Center. Have the family download the files, sign, and upload them back into the Planning Center.
✔️Offer to have a service with immediate family and consider the option of online streaming for other guests.
