Passare increases security measures with two-factor authentication

Passare is excited to announce the availability of two-factor authentication (2FA) when users sign in on the web or mobile app. This extra layer of security will help funeral homes ensure that their data is protected while using Passare.

“Two-factor authentication is a way for funeral directors to minimize the risk of unauthorized access to their case management software,” said Josh McQueen, VP of Product and Marketing at Passare. “We’re proud to be the first case management platform to provide this functionality and encourage other software providers to do the same.”

With 2FA enabled, funeral directors will be asked to verify their Passare account when signing in with a code sent by text message or an authenticator app, keeping the account secure even if a password is compromised.

“Funeral homes store a large amount of data in their case management software, including sensitive family information or business finances,” McQueen added. “We believe that adding this security measure in Passare is another way funeral homes can safeguard their data.”
